Our Mission and Purpose:
The study, practice, and spreading of the Spiritist Doctrine as codified by Allan Kardec.
Our Goals and Objectives:
The understanding of the universal moral laws of God and its impact on our material life here on this planet, and to assist others to do the same. The study, advancement, and propagation of the Spiritist Doctrine. Our Belief: We believe in The Spiritist Doctrine, Reincarnation, Mediumship, and the Moral Improvement of The Soul. Belief in material and spiritual life, moral and intellectual progression through reincarnation, and in communication with the spiritual world through mediumship.
The Spiritist Doctrine: The Spiritist Doctrine and our Belief: In general, the moral, spiritual, and intellectual advancement through successive material incarnations (belief in reincarnation), communication between the material and spiritual world via mediums. We always go forward, we may mark time, but we never retrograde.
Humans do not incarnate in animals and vice versa. We believe in God, a
Supreme Intelligence, First Cause of All Things in the Universe. Jesus, a
superior spirit incarnated on a mission, is our example of what level of
morality and goodness mankind can attain on this planet. What is Reincarnation: Reincarnation and Moral Improvement: The spirit incarnates into a material body in order to put into practice its good intentions in morality, spirituality, and in intellect.
Via the Infinitely Just Law of cause and effect, the incarnated spirit must expiate for its past indiscretions, atone for any wrongs previously committed, and make any appropriate reparations.
We are responsible for any wrongs we commit and responsible for any good we could have done, but did not do. Progress is very, very slow.
But we have an immortal soul which, through its own effort, will gain the merit of its actions and reach a point where it does not have to incarnate anymore. It becomes a superior spirit, one which will do God's bidding in assisting in governing the Universe.
What is Mediumship: (from The Book of Mediums by Allan Kardec) Any person who feels, in any degree whatever, the influence of the spirits, is a Medium.
The principal varieties of mediums are: physical mediums; sensitive mediums
or impressionable mediums; hearing mediums; seeing mediums; speaking mediums; healing mediums; writing mediums.Mediums for Physical Effects: Those who have the ability to induce material and physical manifestations (knowingly or unknowingly).
They are more especially fit to produce material phenomena, such as movement of inert bodies noises etc."Instructive and Serious Communications are what mediums should strive for.
A Brief History of Allan Kardec: Allan Kardec's real name was Hippolyte Leon Denizard Rivail, born in Lyon France on October 3, 1804. He was well educated and became a teacher. He wrote books on math and French grammar. As a Professor and Educator he taught all subjects, especially, the sciences. He spoke 6 languages. He opened his own school in 1825. In 1832, he married Amelie Gabrielle Boudet, who was also a teacher. They had no children.
Serious Communications are distinguished by the gravity of the subjects
discussed and instructive communications are those which are not only
serious, but convey the teachings of superior spirits on points of science,
morality, philosophy, etc. "
At the urging of a friend, he attended a seance. Eventually, the professor
ended up studying the phenomena of communication with spirits. He was never a
medium himself but his studies prompted him to write several books (using the
pen name Allan Kardec). He coined the word "Spiritism" to describe this new science, philosophy, religion. He wrote and codified the laws of the material and spiritual world, explaining in a rational way, the whys and wherefores of Life. His books were published in France, the first one in 1857. He dedicated his whole life to the study of Spiritism. he died March 31, 1896.
